Terms & Conditions – Earning Miles

  1. You earn a minimum of 500 Miles for each rental worldwide. In addition you can earn more when renting for longer: 1000 extra Miles for 3-6 days, a total of 1500 Miles 2000 extra Miles for 7-9 days, a total of 2500 Miles 3500 extra Miles for 10+ days, a total of 4000 Miles.
  2. Reservations made on Website (with Miles&Smiles membership level selected) will have an AWD automatically embedded in the reservation.
  3. If any other AWD number is present in the rental booking no Miles will be awarded.
  4. If any other AWD number is present in a customer’s Avis Preferred profile and this is used in the rental booking no Miles will be awarded and once booked this cannot be reversed.
  5. To qualify, rentals must include the Miles&Smiles membership number of the first named driver (the "renter").
  6. Promotion is only valid for separate rentals and not rentals with consecutive rental Rates.
  7. Rentals made using Avis contracted (corporate/government) rates/AWDs, chauffeur drive, or van rentals do not qualify for Miles&Smiles Miles. Travel industry staff rates including Turkish Airlines and Avis employee programs, replacement/insurance rates, selected association programs, and net rate programs do not qualify.
  8. This promotion is not valid on Prestige rentals worldwide.
  9. The awarding of Miles&Smiles Miles may take up to 8 weeks from date of the rental closing.
  10. This promotion and all Miles&Smiles Miles issued are subject to Miles&Smiles terms and conditions.

Payment Methods

In all rental procedures to be made within AVIS, a personal credit card is requested with the name of the customer. No payment options can be accepted other than credit card, e.g. cash, debit card, virtual card, supplumentary card, bond, etc. The reasın for requestinf a credit card is for collectiın in the event of traffic fines, highwat transit fees, rental extension requests, damage costs, etc.

Total rental amount and security deposits will be collected in the beginning of the rental through the credit card of the person renting the vehicle, who is renting the vehicle, on which his/her name, surname and credit card number are displayed. Any difference in the invoice amount that may occur at the end of the lease, on the other hand, will be collected or returned, using the same credit card. The credit card holder must be present in person during the rental. The vehicle rental cannot be processed with a credit card belonging to someone else. In addition to the rental fee, a certain amount of deposit, depending of the brand and model of the vehicle, will be collected from the credit card submitted by the customer. Therefore, credit availability of the credit card (as much as total of rental and deposit fee) is required. The amount collected as deposit will be returned to the same credit card at the end of the rental after deducting the amounts not included in the reservation, if any, such as the above mentioned additional services, assurances, missing fuel, damages, fines etc.

The deposit refunds are reflected to your credit card within 1-10 business days, depending on the internal communication process of the bank.
