We cover essential costs you may face during the process of recovering your delayed baggage. Upon applying to the Lost and Found offices of Turkish Airlines or the appropriate ground handling company, a reference number (e.g. ISTTK12345) will be created for you concerning your baggage issue. You can submit an application by uploading the documents related to the mandatory expenses you incurred during the baggage claim on the baggage issues tracking form page, using this number.

Keep your expense documents

To ensure compliance with mandatory expenditures, please retain the invoice, credit card slip, or any other documentation that verifies the expenditure, for submission with the application. Your declaration will be considered for mandatory expenses where an invoice is not available.

Pay attention to the application deadlines

To receive compensation for expenses incurred during the delayed baggage process, you are required to submit your application in writing within 21 days from the date you received your baggage. Applications received beyond this deadline will not be taken into account as per international agreements.

Please refer to your previous report number.

To apply, please submit your request in writing along with your previously assigned report number within seven days of receiving your baggage. This applies if your baggage was previously marked as lost and has been delivered to you with a delay, damage, or missing contents.
