ALLERGIES

Take precautions against potential allergy attacks before you travel to enjoy a pleasant flight.

Food allergies

Foods which are often associated with allergies are dairy, nuts and seafood. However, foods which cause allergies vary from person to person.

Hay fever

If you suffer from hay fever, check the weather forecast before traveling and take the necessary precautions. You can wear a pollen mask in the seasons which affect you most severely.

Pet allergies

Before traveling ask whether or not an animal has been given permission to be in the cabin. If an animal is traveling on the same flight as you, please make us aware so we can seat you a sufficient distance away.

Other allergies

Disinfect your hands regularly while traveling and reduce the risk of any possible respiratory infection. If you have an allergy to feathers or wool, do not use the pillow or blanket provided in-flight.

Dust allergies

This allergy is caused by microorganisms in stuffy environments and can irritate the respiratory system. If you find yourself in a stuffy environment, ventilate it as much as possible. Washing your nose thoroughly before traveling can help relax your respiratory system.

Allergies in children

Before traveling with children, be sure to take all necessary precautions for their allergies.

  • Before traveling with your child, take them for a check-up and consult your doctor for any precautions to take.
  • If your child suffers from food allergies, prepare a food list before leaving home.
  • Make cabin crew aware of your child's allergies before take-off.
  • Be sure you are carrying any anti-allergy medication with you.
  • Bring your child's own pillow and blanket.
  • Sterilize your child's seat and arm rests before they sit down.
We recommend that you take a few measures to make sure you enjoy a comfortable flying experience. If you would like to know more about a particular topic, please contact our call center.
