Introducing the Moldova
Moldova, a landlocked country bordered by Romania and Ukraine, is known for its beautiful nature, historical sites, and wine-making tradition. Much of the country is located between the Prut and Dniester rivers, with the majority of Moldova’s population living in rural areas. Once part of the Romanian principality of Moldavia, Moldova gained its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and has since become an increasingly popular tourist destination. In particular, Chișinău, Moldova’s capital, has become known for its fun festivals, wineries, and historical buildings, some of which are legacies from the Soviet era.
Turkish Airlines operates Moldova flights from Chișinău International Airport in Moldova’s capital. Flights to Moldova from Istanbul Airport take about an hour and 30 minutes.
