Is your baggage damaged or are there items missing from your baggage?

Baggage issues tracking form

If you discover that your tagged baggage has been damaged, you must visit the Lost and Found office of Turkish Airlines or the appropriate ground handling company with the required documents and file a report before leaving the airport. To receive compensation for the damaged or missing item, please complete the baggage issues form and submit it along with the required documents and your report. To ensure a prompt evaluation of your claim concerning the damage, please attach photos of your damaged baggage/item along with your baggage tag to the tracking form.

If a report cannot be retained at the airport due to an issue caused by Turkish Airlines, you must submit a baggage issues form within seven days. Applications submitted after seven days will not be assessed in line with international agreements.
If your most recent flight was not with Turkish Airlines, you must submit your application to the airline you traveled with. If you have flown with any airline that is part of Star Alliance, you are eligible to apply to all member airlines.
Turkish Airlines cannot be held responsible for any damage to your baggage that occurred before the flight, any defects resulting from the baggage's production, normal wear and tear from use (including wear, scratches, discoloration, cosmetic dents, etc.), and/or damage to external items that may be missing from your baggage due to use (such as zippers and zipper strips, straps, name tags, etc.).

Passengers are responsible for properly storing and packing the items in their baggage. Please ensure that your baggage does not contain items that are improperly stored, perishable, or fragile and breakable. Turkish Airlines cannot be held responsible for damages or losses resulting from improperly stored or packed items.
