The most noteworthy aspect of Cameroon, gaining its independence from France in 1960, in terms of tourism is that it is the only country of the region which has not had any political problems since 1982. Yaoundé, already a center of attention in tourism, offers a peaceful holiday in the heart of the nature with its rain forests and wild life. However, it would be helpful to remind that it may be quite effortful to wander the city on foot seeing that it is defined as “the city overlaid on seven hills” in some sources.
