Application Requirements

  • The Contest will be open to all participants over the age of 12 from all over the world (citizens of the Republic of Türkiye and foreigners).

* Employees of Turkish Airlines A.O., Turkish Airlines Teknik A.Ş. and THY Teknoloji ve Bilişim A.Ş. and first-degree relatives (mother, father, spouse, child) are not eligible to participate in the contest.

  • Participants share an idea in at least one of the determined categories to win awards with Turkish Airlines within the referrals on the site.
  • Ideas may be submitted to Turkish Airlines in the period during which the idea sharing form will remain live (January 30 – March 31). After this date, the idea sharing form of the online platform will be closed to access.
  • The “Miles&Smiles Terms and Conditions” will be valid for the use of the awards.
  • Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change the category of the shared idea.
  • Turkish Airlines reserves the right to use the ideas and projects submitted by entrants to the 90th Anniversary Idea Contest.
  • Turkish Airlines is under no obligation to implement any of the projects or ideas submitted by entrants to the 90th Anniversary Idea Contest.

In the “Flight Experience” category, you can share ideas about catering, inflight products, the inflight entertainment system, flight comfort and any additional services that you think would further enrich the flight experience.

In the “Airport Experience” category, you can share ideas regarding transportation, the airport, the private passenger lounge experience, check-in and baggage delivery, as well as any other ideas that will enhance the preflight travel experience.

In the “Sales, Communication and Winning Experiences” category, you can share ideas regarding communications ranging from our online communication channels to ticket sales processes, from call center services to Miles&Smiles and other loyalty programs, and from mobile applications to advertisements.

In the “Corporate Development and Innovation” category, you can share your innovative ideas in areas that you think will contribute to our business processes, organization, efficiency and profitability, education and employment, and innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as digitalization areas, new business model opportunities and cooperation opportunities.

In the “Sustainability and Social Responsibility” category, you can share ideas that will contribute to sustainability in the field of waste management, environmental products and carbon emission, as well as ideas related to social responsibility initiatives.

Ideas can be shared in more than one category. There is no limit to the number of ideas you can submit.

Can I form a team to create and share ideas? Learn more

Ideas can only be shared individually, not as a team.

How does Turkish Airlines evaluate the ideas? Learn more

The ideas will be evaluated and rewarded by a jury consisting of Turkish Airlines teams and managers within the competition categories.

What happens if the same idea is submitted by multiple people? Learn more

If more than one person shares a similar idea, the submission date of the idea will be taken as the basis, with the earliest shared idea given priority in the evaluation process.
