If you have Gold, Diamond and Pandion status in the SAS Airlines Eurobonus program, you can switch to the Miles&Smiles Elite Card and receive double Miles for a year. Follow the steps below to apply for status-match and continue your Star Alliance experience while enjoying the privileges of Miles&Smiles.

How to apply

To apply, please follow the steps below.

Step 1




Open the Online Feedback Form.

Step 2 and 3




Select “Continue with Miles&Smiles” (you can skip this step if you are logged in as a member).

Select “New feedback”.

Step 4




Select “Membership transactions” under the Miles&Smiles program.

In the form, fill in the “Your Feedback” field as “status-match-SAS Airlines Eurobonus-Membership Type-Membership Number”. Example: status-match-SAS Airlines Eurobonus-Gold-EB435666678612

Step 6




Add your SAS Eurobonus membership card image, SAS Eurobonus Membership Account Statement file to the “Please attach files related to your feedback” field on the form and click the upload button. Ensure that the size of each document is no more than 5 MB.

Ensure that you provide all the necessary information in the form and click the "Submit" button to complete your application.

Terms & Conditions

Those with existing Gold, Diamond or Pandion status in SAS EuroBonus Programme can apply for a status-match to Miles&Smiles Elite status based on the following terms and conditions. Learn more

  • Each can apply for a status-match only once with the same loyalty program number.
  • Applicants must have at least two months remaining on their current membership card, which must be equivalent to Turkish Airlines Elite or higher status.
  • The Elite status trial period is valid for 4 months. During this period, members must complete an international Turkish Airlines flight to extend their Elite status by 1 year. If 15,000 status miles are accumulated from Turkish Airlines flights by the end of the first year, the Elite status will be extended for an additional year, totaling 2 years.
  • Members who do not complete one international Turkish Airlines flight within the 4-month trial period will be downgraded to their previous tier.
  • Members who earn fewer than 15,000 Status Miles on Turkish Airlines flights within the first 12 months will be downgraded to Classic Plus status.
  • Miles&Smiles Terms and Conditions apply to members who qualify for an upgrade or maintain their current status.
  • Required documents for a status-match request are copy of the membership card valid for at least 2 months and a copy of the current mileage statement.
  • If the application complies with the rules and meets the criteria, it is approved, and an acknowledgment e-mail will be sent to the member.
  • If the application does not comply with the rules, the membership will be downgraded to the previous level, and an e-mail notification will be sent. Adherence to these rules is crucial.
  • Status-match is not a guaranteed right; applications may be rejected.
  • Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change the terms and conditions, definitions and other information pertaining to the status-match campaign and to cancel the offer at any time.

If your application is approved, the four-month trial period will begin when you receive the e-mail. Within this period, you must complete at least one international Turkish Airlines flight to extend your Elite status to 1 year. If you accumulate 15,000 status Miles on Turkish Airlines flights by the end of the first year, your Elite status will be extended for another year, for a total of two years.
