TK Wallet terms and conditions

  • Only Miles&Smiles members can benefit from the right to create and use TK Wallet.
  • The TR Wallet payment method is valid only for tickets and additional services purchased through the Turkish Airlines website or mobile application.
  • Miles&Smiles members can have only one TK Wallet at the same time. If the member closes their existing TK Wallet , they can open a new one.
  • Miles&Smiles members cannot create a TK Wallet if there is no phone number registered in the membership account.
  • Credit and/or debit cards registered in the Miles&Smiles account can be used for TK Wallet payments.
  • The TK Wallet can be created in one of four different currencies: TRY, EUR, USD, GBP. In order to change the currency selected for the TK Wallet, the existing TK Wallet must be closed, and the wallet must be reopened with the new currency.
  • Tickets issued for scheduled domestic and international flights can be paid via TK Wallet.
  • Payment via TK Wallet is valid only for Turkish Airlines flights. This payment method cannot be used for codeshare flights and/or other airlines’ flights.
  • The TK Wallet currency and the currency of the ticket to be paid for must be the same. For international flights, the currency to be paid can be changed according to the TK Wallet currency.
  • With cards belonging to Turkish banks, the balance loaded to TK Wallet cannot be in currencies other than TRY.
  • When TK Wallet is created, load and pay transactions can be made from the payment page.
  • For payments made with TK Wallet, TK Money in the account is used first and then the balance in the TK Wallet is used. If the TK Money and the balance in the TK Wallet do not cover the payment amount, the remaining amount is charged from the credit or debit card.
  • Top-ups made to TK Wallet with a credit card may be returned to the card. In this case, the entire amount in the TK Wallet will be refunded and there is no partial refund. Refunds are made only to the card used during payment, regardless of passenger identity and Miles&Smiles account.
  • If the credit or debit card used to pay for the ticket is inactive during the refund period, a refund request can be submitted by filling out the feedback form.
  • Fare differences due to ticket changes cannot be paid via TK Wallet.
  • If tickets purchased via TK Wallet are changed, the amount to be refunded to TK Wallet is calculated according to the fare rules.
  • In case of refund of tickets issued with TK Wallet, the relevant amount is transferred to TK Wallet.
  • In ticket cancellation and refund transactions, TK Wallet may be offered an incremental refund option.
    • If the passenger does not accept the offer, the refund will be made to the original payment method according to the fare rules.
    • If the passenger accepts the offer, the sum of the refund and the incremental refund amount will be returned to TK Wallet as TK Money. This amount cannot then be returned to the original payment method and can only be used via the Turkish Airlines website or mobile application for Turkish Airlines flights.
    • In order for the refund to be made to TK Wallet as TK Money, the phone number of the ticket and the phone number defined in TK Wallet must be the same.
  • TK Money cannot be cashed out, refunded to a credit card or transferred to another Miles&Smiles member.
  • The following services cannot be purchased via TK Wallet; in these cases, the "Pay with TK Wallet" option will not be displayed:
    • Hold the price
    • Ticket change operations
    • Gift Card purchase
    • Miles&Smiles Miles transactions
    • Award ticket issuance
    • Star award ticket issuance
    • Ticketing transactions made with currencies other than TRY, EUR, USD, GBP.
  • The validity period of TK Money is two years from the date it is credited to the account. TK Money not used within this period will expire. No claim can be made for the expired amount of TK Money.
  • In TK Wallet transactions, additional security verification may be requested during balance top-up or payment.
  • TK Wallet cannot be used for commercial purposes. It is forbidden to sell TK Money, to use it on behalf of another person for monetary compensation or to transfer/exchange it.
  • Turkish Airlines reserves all rights in case of misuse of the TK Wallet, including blocking, temporary suspension or closure of the account.
  • In case of termination, suspension or expiration of the Miles&Smiles membership, the TK Wallet will be canceled and the amount of TK Money in the account will be reset to zero. For the refund of the remaining balance in TK Wallet, a feedback form must be submitted.
  • TK Wallet can be closed if all flights purchased via TK Wallet have been completed and the TK Wallet balance is zero. If the balance is not zero, existing balance top-ups must be returned to the credit/debit card. When the TK Wallet is closed, the unused TK Money amount loses its validity.
  • The refund is instant, and the refunded TK Money can be used within two years.
  • For incremental refunds, Miles&Smiles member login is required, and the currency of the TK Wallet must be the same as the currency of the refund payment.
  • The amount of the offer for an incremental refund to TK Wallet is determined by Turkish Airlines and offers are personalized.
  • Incremental refund offers are not available for the refund of only part of a PNR (one flight or one passenger).
  • Turkish Airlines reserves the right to make changes to the TK Wallet terms and conditions.
